The three ways "free" usually works
A few interviews ever, then the paywall. Revarta works this way: three free mocks, full feedback, and then it is $39 a month. Honest, but the relationship ends fast.
Practice all you like, but the analysis you actually came for is paid. interview-prep.io's free tier is generic practice with basic feedback; the tailored questions and full evaluation are the $12/mo unlock.
Genuinely free, genuinely limited. ChatGPT chats with you but tends to praise and won't hold a structured interview without constant prompting. Google Interview Warmup was the classic example until Google retired it.

Ours, including the limits
PrepOutLoud is free while in beta: 10 interviews a week. Not demos: each one asks follow-up questions built on your specific answer, then gives a debrief that quotes your own words and reads the level you demonstrated. The first one needs no signup at all.
Feedback depth. We do not thin the free debrief to sell the paid one. If the free read isn't useful, the paid tier wouldn't be either.
Pacing (10 a week, up to 6 a day) and personalization. The Pro tier, coming soon at $29 for one month, one-time, adds unlimited interviews and tailoring to your actual job: your role, your level, your job description and resume.

Is there a completely free AI mock interview?
Yes, several. Pramp is free peer practice with another job seeker. ChatGPT can run a rough mock if you prompt it carefully. PrepOutLoud gives you one full interview with no signup, then 10 interviews a week free with an account while in beta, each with complete feedback and a level read. Google Interview Warmup, the old free standby, was shut down in early 2026 and no longer exists.
What is the catch with free interview practice tools?
Usually one of three things: a lifetime cap (a few interviews ever, then a paywall), thinned feedback (you can practice, but the useful analysis is paid), or no real feedback at all. None of those are scams, but it helps to know which trade you are making before you invest your practice time.

Can I prepare for an interview well without paying anything?
